Community Activity
Hi Guys
So I thought I'd ask you guys about the activity of the English community. Recently creating an affiliate in England I thought I'd start to get involved a bit, joining in your clubrooms etc.
Basically I've noticed how active your clubrooms and general non-restricted parts of your offsite were and was interested to see what some of you put this down to. I personally have attempted to rise the activity of the Australian community with limited success. Although it may be possible I'll lose the chief journo role to Hanoi this season, I'm still really committed to get the Aussie community more interactive. I'm just wondering, as you guys seem to have it going well, if you have any tips on how to get threads going on the clubrooms and keep those people with limited access on the offsite so they can get more involved and hopefully get more access and help out the community.
Then again you pommys might like us Aussies staying quiet and won't help me at all
Enjoying being a semi-Englishman as well might try and get my side more involved in CCs etc and post a bit more on the clubrooms

Then again i might like to give you the impression that we are sharing info with you only to lead you to a false sence of security , this may include later drugging you and taking you hostage to disneyland and making you listen to barney the dinosaur songs for many hours with loads of kids looking at you through a 2 way mirror window thingymibob

Re: Community Activity
I think moving the forum actually helped a lot. The chatbox is the heart of it, and the old chatbox was crap.
We also have a few diehard members from various countries giving us a decent clock coverage. Then throw in the fact that there's a few foreigners that hang out on our chatbox more than their own, simply because it's known to be active, it gives us more activity, a positive feedback loop as such.
Getting people onto the forum isn't easy, ours is about as easy to register on as possible, and with hopefully friendly folk answering questions, I think we manage to get people visiting and most importantly coming back.

Re: Community Activity
I think part of it comes from not really using BR clubrooms all that much. When ever there is a "hi i need help" managers are given useful advise but are pointed towards the offsite where there are in sights into the game and ofter experienced managers to ask questions of. So a combination of the answer Wing and Raggs gave!

Hey pbrennan12,
as a foreign manager you'll have restricted access to the site so wont be able to see our "Members Wives" section. I think that always proves popular.

Yeah but to use the picture of your mrs as the profile picture is a bit OTT for me.

Re: Community Activity
Fair enough guys thanks for the input.
The restricted areas are really good, lots of chatter etc. the problem is that as not many overseas managers are on ours, not much happens in the general area. I've tried to get the general U20 manager stuff into the general to get people involved at an earlier stage of the cycle but it always seems to be the same people
oh well all you can do is keep trying I guess

Re: Community Activity
I think we got hold of overseas managers because of timing our pushes of the offsite. I made sure to push the offsite during CCs, during WCs etc etc, it all helps, often getting rather busy, with one or two then sticking around and bolstering us further.
Re: Community Activity
This is the sort of wonderous chat that makes our offsite special...
