We all like a good hooker to really get down to the business at hand. Same as the thread for the prop, nominate your preferred starting hooker, and if you care to give your reason I know I'd be happy to read them.

Youngs is a long way off being in contention right now, but you never know. It should be noted the last time I guessed such a player might have an impact on a Lions tour was Matt Stevens back in '05 - and that worked out well.

hartley, partly cus he's english :p but i also think he's just grown so much. he's really matured and i was impressed with his tackling especially in SA and he rarely misses his mark in the lineout. i think he's great in every aspect of a hooker
