Same query, could you give an indication of the number of sessions he'll be trained on, what level training is available, and what your team training is?

Also do you have an idea how long (in seasons) you hope to train him for, and if you've a TSP or CSR target in mind?

But if training can be based simply around this player then something like team training as Stamina, Handling, Defence and Strength.

Then individual sessions as

Stamina x2
Handling x2
Attack x1
Defence x1
Technique x1
Strength x1
Jumping x2

I'd say only 1 stam and 2x str, since str is what locks mostly use in scrums. Please tell me you have lvl 4 facilities or better? If so this lock is going to be one of the best for the s18 U20s.

Having a player represent a national side means more experience for him, which benefits you, but it's a tough old slog, 4 seasons of dedicated training, but what comes out is a very high quality player.

Sorry Raggs, I got all in a fluster having seen the whopper too, then saw his birthday. Otherwise I might have tried to tempt him to Africa Smile

Very decent chap, not going to make a WC though

Not with a R16 birthday I'm afraid. Compared to those who will go to the U20s he'd either not be good enough, or too old.

But don't let that put you off training for your club, they could both be beasts for your side.

Its a shame about the age, but the guys above are right, its worth training him anyway. My club has benefited greatly from having a former international at lock. Its a difficult time training him but its worth it in the end. Even if you decide not to keep him at the end of training him, a well trained lock is worth a fair bit on the TM.
