England's search for trainers Empty England's search for trainers

Post by quind Tue Apr 07, 2015 12:58 pm

Season 25 is nearly upon us and the England teams remain very much on the search for new trainers to get involved. From the start of next season we're looking for managers to take on the new 17 year olds to train for U20s, perhaps some 19 year olds to take through the 2nd half of their U20 cycle, and what will be some former U20 players to train for the NT.

There are some different levels of commitment called for there, with the NT especially needing some true dedication. If you're looking to expand on existing training for the NT teams, or to get involved for the first time with the U20s or NT please give us a shout. We are looking in the main for players to receive 10 nets all at level 5, but there may be some instances where if people are working toward that they can get involved sooner rather than later.

Sounds good. There will be some great 17 year old English players on the market in the next few weeks and it would be great to get as many as possible trained for England.

I have a little cash and will have 10 lvl 5s, probably best for a centre but a bit of flexibility available.

Not so sure with this batch Wing, worried they may all turn out as numpties. Haven't been focusing on blackout as much recently so didn't swap their positions around during the last season so don't know their best position yet

Take your pick from these:

25. Orlando Ball - 3.5 stars at prop
16 y/o (R1, D6)   |   187cm   |   125kg   |   England   |   80 stars
An aggressive player with reckless discipline, satisfactory leadership, and despicable experience.

Stamina: Reputable  Handling:  Medium
Attack:  Medium       Defense:  Medium
Technique: Admirable
Strength: Unknown
Jumping: Low  Speed:  Medium
Agility:  Unknown  Kicking:   Low

28. Jon Gasol - 2.5 stars at wing
16 y/o (R4, D3)   |   182cm   |   92kg   |   England   |   70 stars
A collected player with reckless discipline, moderate leadership, and non-existent experience.

Stamina: Unknown  Handling: Unknown
Attack:  Medium   Defense:  Medium
Technique:  Medium
  Strength: Unknown
Jumping:  Low   Speed: Unknown
Agility:  Unknown  Kicking:  Unknown

21. Isidro Latorre - 2.5 stars at hooker
16 y/o (R1, D4)   |   186cm   |   123kg   |   England   |   70 stars
A psychotic player with controlled discipline, reputable leadership, and despicable experience.

Stamina:  Medium   Handling:  Low
Attack: Unknown  Defense: Unknown
Technique: Reputable  Strength: Unknown
Jumping: Unknown  Speed: Unknown
Agility:  Satisfactory  Kicking:  Low

24. Pedro Villa - 3 stars at wing
16 y/o (R2, D5)   |   183cm   |   81kg   |   England   |   70 stars
A conservative player with controlled discipline, decent leadership, and despicable experience.

Stamina:  Medium   Handling:  Medium
Attack:  Medium
  Defense: Unknown
Technique: Average  Strength: Unknown
Jumping: Low  Speed:  Medium
Agility:   Medium   Kicking:   Medium

I'll be selling this guy:

Sonny Manley - 3 stars on LTNT
16 y/o (R1, D7) | 174cm | 114kg | England |

A timid player with controlled discipline, average leadership, and non-existent experience.

Stamina: Medium ?

Attack: Decent 8
Defense: Admirable 10
Technique: Reputable 9
Strength: High ?
Jumping: Average 6
Speed: Satisfactory 7
Agility: Low ?
Kicking: Horrible 3

And training this guy on full lvl 5s :

Jonathon Bowerman - 4 stars on LTNT
16 y/o (R1, D7) | 203cm | 116kg | England |
60 stars
A psychotic player with collected discipline, decent leadership, and despicable experience.

Stamina: Impressive 11
Handling: Unknown ?
Attack: Unknown ?
Defense: Reputable 9
Technique: Medium ?
Strength: Medium ?
Jumping: Princely 12
Speed: Moderate 5

Nice. we should have a good mix of trainers both buyers and from the academy.

There seems to always be a few week 1&2 English superstars that are sold for profit and they key is keeping them for England with dedicated trainers. These players though are also targeted by other countries. I have a list of managers willing to buy and hopefully we can target the best players to keep in England.

If I promote Ball on the Saturday then he will get to play for me in the first game of the season but it will be very tight as to whether he can be rehoused to a new trainer in time for training on the Tuesday.

Am thinking to promote him after junior training on week 2 so he plays for me that Saturday and then someone will have time to get him into training on the Tuesday. Does that make sense

Means I will be gambling on Isidro in week 1

Also means that Pedro won't get promoted until week 3

I might take him off your hands. How much do you think he'll go for? I like the idea of an england 9/10 combo

Great if you can train him. Hard to say how much, it really depends if another u20s country targets him for a dual nationality. But I would think you should get him for less than 500k, maybe quite a bit less than that.

I can take Binks but under me he wouldn't get kicking training for the first season (currently advertising for level 2s) and not level 5s until partway through the 3rd season, so I'll only step in if a foreigner is gonna win his auction.

Radiohead clearly is, Marvin was something of a depressed android, known in full as Marvin the Paranoid Android

A terrific if not overly optimistic character
