yes certainly you can opt out of this log. But im not sure if you want to.
If I'm elected I intend to hold a weekly account of what it is a NT does. Who I speak with, about what players.

An example of how i see it now:
19 oct. spoken to Chargrilled about Demarcus Trout. Spoken about when Trout will get a call-up and about which positions he plays. Training is adjusted.
Something like this.

I will do this so the work of the NT will become more transparent. Every manager can say they will talk to managers. But nobody will be able to check if it actually happened. By keeping a log one can check the NT whether he had done something about the squad and/or talent program or not.

This may be a good thing to implement even if i'm not elected.

What do you know about my player Pellew and when do you expect he will make the NT squad?

AT this time i know little about him besides his name.

When i'm elected i will implemented the talent program (see other topic).
The NT will revert back to it's best possible squad. Some of the youngster will enter the talent program with their peers.

Because the squad and the talent program will assess players on skill-sets. Currently i can't watch the player skills, that will only be possible if I''m elected. So it''s impossible to state anything where your player's rank in the talent program is.

The time of the call-up will be dependent on: rate of achieved training (so not the amount and lvl of slots, but the increase in skills over time), the players age, if or how many positions your player can play, the level of other rival players at that position (and if or how many those players can play multiple positions).

In short the system will let player battle it out among themselves who is best. The one quickest trained will receive the first call-up. Darwin would be proud. The new thing about this system is not really the selection. But the information managers will get. You will be informed meticulously about where your player ranks among his rivals. If he doesn't stand a chance for a call-up you will be told as well.that way the player won't get trained needlessly and you can save slots for other NT players or your own squad.

Has had a good look at Pellew now,
I have called up 23 year olds into the Holland squad but thats a different situation. If training can be kept this high and if his CSR is indicative for his skill-set (i'm not saying it is, but if it is...) Then a call-up can be expected after the next WC. It also depends on his rivals for the center positions.

Good job with Pellew.

How do you know that the current squad isn't the best possible?

I cant tell, because i cant see skills. But if i could see skills i could use my programs to compare different squads and see which will perform best. It may be that it's the same squad. It may be that i will change some players. Ican't tell from the data i've got now.

apart from i didnt make a book about it..

there is a page called shadow squad where everyone can see who is involved. from this they can veyr much assume that communication with the managers took place prior to listing his players name on the programme.

But only to those involved. What about those who want to be involved? This would prove to be a good way to get new managers training for the NT.

What good books have people read recently?

I'm currently reading The World Treasury of Physics, Astronomy and Mathematics, and it's not the rip-roaring page turner you might be anticipating from the title I can tell you. I assume at some point soon I'll be reading a Bill Bryson book, as it's nearly Christmas, he has a book out, and my family are predictable.

Good book, read it when I was at Uni. But also read the parallel series, Shadows, especially Ender's Shadow. Speaker for the Dead and Xenocid are also good.

Oh and this:Wink
