Biggest CSR youth promotion
Hi everyone
Since the youth system got changed to avoid hundreds of stars having 17 year olds promote over 70k, what's the biggest CSR people have had on youth pulls?
My biggest to date for a player just turned 17 is:
Carl Adam 40, 464 http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/club.squad.php#player=12039443
My biggest to date for a player before they turn 20 is:
Lamont Veletta 66,649 http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/club.squad.php#player=12694418

Do you know that the TDSP on those players were at the time they were promoted?

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
What's TDSP? Total something skill points?
Adam was 83, although as I trained him, taking decimal points into account, that was an actual of 87.
Veletta is 99, who got promoted this week.

total Displayed skill points, to be distinct from the notion of total skill points which includes those decimal points in my mind.
When you say an actual is that based on an under/over, or that you've done some serious work on analysing salaries and CSR?

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
I've created a tracker for training improvements and have rough calculations on when players will pop. They're normally accuarate within a week or two. Based on when their first pop comes for any skill, I can estimate what they would have been promoted with. So if someone popped a week after being promoted to 12, they're likely to have started on 11.9.

Looks like I've just beaten my own record for a 19 year old:
Zack Rowell 67,858 CSR http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/club.squad.php#player=12711105

Impressive. What about his TDSP then as of today? I have a guy with 98TDSP who I will be promoting in 17 days, hoping for maybe 1 more pop in the next 3 weeks of youth training. Doubt I will get a CSR that high though, I'm expecting more around 58-60k.

Nice. I have two with 107TDSP right now so will be looking forward to seeing them. They promote R7 and R11 so with the changes to youth training, I'm hoping for at least one 13 on them somewhere!

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
Post it here if you get a 13. I'm yet to produce a 13 from the youth academy, and it generally takes a season in the first team without individual training to get a 13 on any skill.

12s are still all I have, but then I do tend to train something else when my oldest hit 12

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
Well now you know that it's possible to aim for 13. I have a guy just turned 18 who has popped to sumptuous in handling. I have no plans to remove that training so will see if he can make it to 14 too!

Ok, next is first 14s… thats a bit too good for youth, ill end up restocking most of my team if I can get 14 skills in youth, Ive plenty of my XV who would be out skilled.

Wish upon a star!
1) Wing is right you guys are nuts.
2) I would like to be nuts too. I need some help and Im guessing you guys know the answer and have analysed the results. What is the ideal amount of stars for promotion? Im currently aiming at 50 stars a player, which means I can fully train 3 players a season. So whats the score?

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
if training for your club i'd pitch in around 30-35 stars a player. 50+ is (for me) more for U20 scouting

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
Ah interesting and for 30-35 stars just being for club. Would you also leave them in "youth" till they turn 19?

Re: Biggest CSR youth promotion
My understanding is that 30* is probably the best for economies sake, but 40 star pulls seem to be consistently better. Tangy is right, you should only do 50+ if you are aiming for U20 potential.
As for leaving them in youth Zec is the one to ask, but unless you are going to sell or put them on 10 sessions, they will pop faster especially with the new YA rules. But everyone has their own style and you have to decide what fits.
Personally at the moment i have just promoted 4 40* backs which i hope to sell as U20 potential, I have a few players Im going to keep in until just before their 20th birthday and will (if all goes well) populate my bench. After these lot have cycled out, Im hoping to be bringing players through to sell.
I am also assuming the YA is lvl 3, otherwise you won't be getting top class 19 year olds very often.
