Numpty

Scottish usage:
a) Someone who (sometimes unwittingly) by speech or action demonstrates a lack of knowledge or misconception of a particular subject or situation to the amusement of others.

b) A good humoured admonition, a term of endearment

c) Wing who gave birth to the expression. "He winged that one, what a numpty"

On a side note, would love to know what Hopman did. I never had a problem with him personally. But as me pappie used to say. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck, it's probably an ars@h@le. Ok he never said that. But I didn't quite understand why he put down the site and then spent so much time here? Sorry to bring it up again.
