Two guys playing basketball that I once knew
It would have been three but my tax was due,

Her speed was unreal just like her linguistics

There was only one problem and this I cannot teach
Her temperament was aggressive and she’s a reckless bitch
I sadly subdued my passionate thoughts
And soon had her transfer listed
For an honourable sum.

I found another lover searching aged 18 or above
She gained duel nationality and lit my world up
She was not world cup eligible but that’s not the dream
She plays Football for my club, she can cook and she can clean.

I lost myself in a theatre of dreams; the offsite clan had come to reassure me
But the fact that she was of a divine quality inevitably means
Foreign spies come calling and successfully steal.

She was my wife but now her stats are common Knowledge
Even her training regimes are well documented
Some Guy called mouse who was metaphorically on fire
Charted her progress she was the object of his desire

I would fight for what its worth
But my Academy bares fruit
And when Tactics are not tactical
I must sharpen my tooth.

I lost the best section of Text based passion I had ever found
I sold my heart twice but the cheques bounced,
The mafia held me ransom for Transfer abuse
I ran away to hide but what’s the use.
In my widowed years I make full Use of Level Fives
Although magic happened once it’s something I must deny
The existence of which is yet to be proved
I founded The Royal Society for the Protection of Under-Represented Uruguayan Rugby Children
But my heart will not be fixed until match engine 2

I’m overly absorbed and like a product of my environment
I pay my dues and henceforth lose the entitlements,
If I was to bounce balls and throw them through hoops
Would I choose to turn back time or look to the future?

The prophecy of a new sport has tamed my estranged mind
But can I ever find in cricket what Blackout rugby still provides?

can this 'work'? It doesn't seem very singable yet. best way would be to stick to a certain rhyme and meter scheme (not necessarily counting syllables, but...) with a chorus. Could be lots of fun.
