What's the agility like? I've often thought the ME uses either defence and agility or defence and strength to calculate who wins a tackle e.g. Strength in a charge or hand off situation or agility in a sidestep

Would we all see winning a tackle ranging from going to ground and seeking a new phase/setting up a maul, i.e. retain the ball, through an offload and driving forward a few metres, through to making a linebreak?

No idea mate. But it does intrigue me as to what would happen if I could replace my front row with an identical one with just 1 defence each...
Re: any one got a better defender than this!
I have a player who didn't miss a tackle in S18
(he didn't play any games)

Made me look at my defence too. Front row seem to lose 2 in 3 tackles. I'd take a bet that it's a combination of Defence, Agility and Strength. My 2nd row with better agility do better than those where it's poor. Makes me think that all forwards need agility to a minimum of 10

Also that front row players likely get to make lots of defensive plays vs PnG attacks, and for all there will be lots of missed tackles those misses could easily be costing 0m

Id say the above is accurate.. Id also say that front row players would get caught out in the open and exploited the same as in rl

I suspect they can be caught wider out, but it's part of the RNG, and it's simple not very likely they'll be caught wider out. How much pressure plays a part in this, i.e. if you apply pressure are they more likely to call a defender in the wrong channel, I don't know, but it's a further likely factor to apply to the RNG

Joe Simpson vs. Exeter - match winning tackle to stop the ball being grounded
Yeah - I know that was real life but still a superb bit of defensive work
