Stuck in limbo...

I'm in a slightly frustrating spot with my team. I've won the league the last couple of years but the squad is nowhere near good enough to challenge at the next level up so I keep getting hammered in the play-off for promotion.

I'm guessing promotion would actually cost me money because fan morale would drop and so would attendances? There's only one way to be certain, so next year I'll try to win every game in the hope of getting automatic promotion

Promotion will never cost you money. If you promote you will get more members and the other clubs will improve your attendance. So if you can you should promote.

True, promotion wouldn't cost me anything I'm sure and it's definitely the aim.

I lost the playoff this evening but there were promising signs with young players' ratings picking up nicely.
