Farrell was apparently injured fairly early on, tight muscle, getting tighter with every kick. Though that doesn't excuse his dick behaviour.

No idea why we left Faz Jnr on for so long. It would have been an odd thing to suddenly start getting better

I think Burt was nervous about bringing Flood on early and possibly upsetting the balance. As it turned out, our bench worked very nicely, while the French fell apart when their subs came on.
I still don't think we see enough gutsy calls from international coaches... probably because they're all under so much pressure (a la PSA, who's probably going to have one of the shortest tenures as France head coach ever)

Got to say he seems another line of French coaches supplying stunning wins, only to back them up with utter dross.
